Vince has been working with Stone for over 18 years now and was over the moon to have his design for the Queen's Platium Jubilee. Getting to work with local stone means a much faster turn around time and we where able to get the memorial ready with 2 weeks of getting the go ahead. Vince pictured on the right is using water fed air tools and a heavy duty cup wheel to smooth out a panel for the plaque to sit within. Creating an even and smooth surface for the Plaque is a skill he a prefected over many years and is a time consuming pratice but it well worth the end result. |
Stone Choice
When ask by Budleigh Salterton Town Council to put forward a design for the Queen's Platium Jubilee we choose to go with a rustic local Dartmoor Bolder which would stand the test of time on the sea front

Engraving Method
Engraving was done on a premium polished black granite from India. This Method of releif blasting allows for gloss black lettering which will never need painting.

Installation
Using our specalist lifting equipment we where able to safely lift this large Dartmoor bolder into place without breaking a sweat. Due to the weight estimated to be 1.2 and 1.5tons, it had to be transported on a trailer due the size and weight.
